Cindy Crawford

CindyCynthia Ann Crawford, born on February 20, 1966 is an American actress, model and television personality. She was a supermodel as well as an iconic figure on magazines covers, runways, and fashion shows in the 1990s and the 1980s. Then, she began acting and launched a company. In her sophomore year in high school, she received a call from a local clothing shop for modeling jobs but was later informed that it was a joke by two of her fellow classmates. Crawford was one of the high school students hired by another retailer, who also had a fashion shoot. In her senior year local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included photographing a college girl to be the week's coed on the DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph her to be published in the magazine. The result was her first ever cover. [9] The photo and the positive comments the magazine received helped convince her to take up modeling. In the beginning, she was with a small agency, which was purchased by Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. At 17 years old she was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest and was able to make it to the national finals.
